    Dear Alex,

Any idea why the date on this certificate is incorrect? I just passed it today, on 16th April. But see what it says in the image. UPDATE: Also, I tried again on 18-4, but it says 27 March 2023

    Hi Alex,

    I have a new example: https://imgur.com/a/Bqemhcf Here's another one: https://imgur.com/a/APRC4Jp

Is it caching? Because maybe I also tested this course yesterday?

  • [deleted] replied

So this is happening for those users whose activity system is not able to find .

As you know that some stats and dates are fetched form activity please check if those users have course submit activity in the course .

I don't understand your question. Sorry. Really appreciate your help, though.

  • [deleted] replied

simply goto course and check if the activity related to course submit is present in your course .

if activity is present only then the date will show correctly

All is recorded and present in course. See here. Besides INCORRECT date in PDF certificate, I also see that it says that I did this two hours ago when it was less than a minute ago... Can we fix this, please?

    Any update?

That's weird. I just completed a course and the date in certificate was from two days before. How is that possible? Is caching again the culprit? But how then?

  • [deleted] replied

Because I deleted the activity of course completion you just did two days before .

    Explain this: http://somup.com/c01Iq7adOF

I started and finished the course on June 13, but certificate says June 12. Why?

  • [deleted] replied

Hi the date on certificate shows with respect to GMT 0 time .

I guess your timezone is  GMT+2

so this might be confusion due to that

    MeesterGijs replied

No date is correct. Sometimes the certificate is 5 or 6 days off. So that is not the cause of the issue.

    What else could it be?

  • [deleted] replied

can you please share the user name and course where  this is off for 5-6days ?

Certificate date is now correct, don't know how... But at the end of the video you still see one error: http://somup.com/c01OXpzfUU And look here; they don't match: https://imgur.com/a/SZEPquj Top one is correct, bottom one is two hours off.

yes we have an ongoing issue with the activity time . We are not able to replicate it on local setup but yes there are two other customers who is facing the issue with timing .

So we can call this an ongoing issue .

I appreciate you acknowledging it. Took some time. I hope it will be fixed soon. Teachers love to see the scores and dates, times, etc.

I've had my developer have a look at his conclusion: wplms doesn't use time converstion based on Wordpress settings. So in settings I use correct time, but you automatically have all time as UTC. So we can't fix it. You have to fix or add this in a next update. Could you? Because I want to use specific timezone wherever someone is, not standard UTC. Seems a very basic wish for a modern website, right?

We are fetching this from the time saved in the activity.

Yes, at many places we store the exact time so that calculation becomes easier as most times are shown as "x" days ago.

Unfortunately, this can;t be fixed as of now.

    MeesterGijs replied

Of course you can fix it. You mean to say that it's not a priority. Which is a pity. Very misleading for students and teachers. Especially those! They want to check status/progress and get incorrect info.

I agree but the issue is actually very strange and we are not able to replicate even when I change my computer timezone setting .I hope you'd understand .
